What's private to you

No parent, mentor, or family member ever sees these. Not the words. Not the transcript. Not a summary they didn't get to see first.

What family can see — only if you turn it on

  • • Themes — short tags like "thinking about housing" or "summer money plan." Never quotes.
  • • Milestones you choose to share — first paycheck, signed lease, etc.
  • • Letters they send you and letters you choose to send back.
  • • Summer Money Plan — if you generate a plan and flip on the public link, family can see it. Anyone with the link can see it too.

The sharing toggle lives on your Life Profile. It's off by default. You can switch it off any time, on any device, no questions asked.

Public share links

If you create a Summer Money Plan and turn on its share link, anyone with that link can view your plan — even people without an Adult Sidekick account. The link only shows that one plan. It never reveals your messages, profile, or anything else.

You control the link. Turn it off anytime and the page goes dead.

Your Buddy never tells on you

If you're weighing whether to talk to a parent about something — money, a relationship, a mistake, anything — your Buddy helps you think it through. It doesn't decide for you, and it doesn't push anything to your family on your behalf.

What your Buddy is — and isn't

Not a lawyer

For anything on a record or in a court, it'll point you to legal aid or a real attorney.

Not a doctor or therapist

It listens. It doesn't diagnose, prescribe, or replace someone trained.

Not a financial advisor

Budgets, leases, paychecks — yes. Investing or big debt calls — go talk to a real person.

AI Powered

Trained on massive datasets. It can hallucinate or make mistakes. Always verify facts.

Data Rights

GDPR compliant. Export or delete your data anytime via settings or email.

Retention

We keep data only as long as your account is active to provide the service.
